GROTON, CT & HERMON - On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, Jonathan Scott Babb, Sr. passed away unexpectedly at the age of 53 years. Jonathan was born on July 4th, 1964 in Hermon, Me. Jonathan, after graduating from Hermon High School, enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After his service, Jonathan settled in Groton, Ct. as a carpenter. Jonathan learned the trade from his Father, Richard D Babb, Sr. Jonathan was passionate about the trade and made his living as a self-employed carpenter. Jonathan is survived by his life partner, Karen Miller, the mother of his children, Kam Babb, his children Jadine Babb, and Fiance Steven Wright of Norwich, Jonathan Scott Babb, Jr., Susan Babb and Margaret Rose Babb, of Norwich, grandchildren Aiden Wright and Giamara Wright. He is also survived by his parents Richard and Margaret Babb, his siblings Stephen Babb, Richard Babb, Susan Bellefleur, Laurie Babb, Jennifer Davis, Stephanie Babb, Michael Babb, Myra Babb, Marcia Beams, and Matthew Babb. Jonathan enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, fishing, hunting, and was an exceptional gardener. He was loved by many and will always be remember for his humor, contagious laugh and his beautiful bright blue eyes. A memorial service for Jonathan will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at Stephanie Babb’s House, 2050 Cedar Brook Drive, Hermon, immediately following the service, Saturday.
