Obituary for Eleanor M. Seavey

Eleanor M.  Seavey
Bangor - Eleanor M. Seavey, 77, died peacefully following a brief illness at a local hospital. She was born March 11, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of Robert F. and H. Maxine (Skillin) Seavey. Eleanor was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1959. She was employed for 33 years in the book keeping department of the Merrill Trust Company of Bangor. Eleanor was formally active in the Girl Scouts of America and was a long time active and devoted member of the Hammond Street Congregational Church. She enjoyed craft making and will be remembered as the “muffin lady”. Surviving are her loving sister, Roberta A. Seavey of Bangor; four cousins, Judy Lee Skillin of Medfield, MA, D. Michael Skillin and his wife Roberta of Dorchester, MA, Nancy J. Skillin of Medfield, MA, and Mark C. Skillin and his wife Helen of Wallingford, CT. She was predeceased by her parents. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 24, 2018 at the Hammond Street Congregational Church, Bangor with the Rev. Dr. Mark Allen Doty, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor immediately following the service.
