CORINTH – Marie M. (Munson) Bean, 80, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior May 23, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born January 26, 1938, in Caribou, the daughter of Vaughn and Helen (Philbrick) Munson.

Marie is survived by the love of her life, Philip E. Bean, Sr. They married May 7, 1954, and just celebrated 64 years of marriage. The happiest memories and center of many family gatherings are her 4 children and their spouses, Linda Rivard and husband, Normand, Philip Bean Jr. and wife, Norma, Rhonda Severance and husband, Stephen, Brenda Mailman and husband, Durand; her pride and joy 13 grandchildren and their spouses; Joshua Bean and wife, Megan, Jeremy Bean and wife, Kimberly, Marissa Rivard, Christopher Bean and wife, Amanda, Meagan Lowe and husband, Andrew, Colby Mailman and wife, Jessica, Daniel Severance, Shelby Mailman, Michael Severance and wife, Kourtney, Cassidy Miller and husband, Brian, Rachael Severance, Hayley Mailman and fiancé, William Bitgood, and Ethan Mailman. Another great pride and joy for her were 10 great-grandchildren; Matthew Bean, Emma Bean, Malachi Bean, Jackson Lowe, Lillian Bean, Alexander Lowe, Elise Lowe, Samuel Lowe, Makenna Mailman, and Mullins Bean. Marie also leaves behind two brothers and their spouses, Carroll Munson and wife, Carol, Raymond Munson and wife, Nancy; a half-sister, Joyce Burney, sister-in-law, Donna Rizzo; and a special aunt, Virginia Philbrick; and many numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks for the care provided to Marie by the Ross Manor Staff.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 1 - 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, with her son, Rev. Philip E. Bean Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. Those who wish to remember Marie in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association – Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
