Obituary for Harley Melvin Bryant

Harley Melvin Bryant
HAMPDEN - Harley Bryant, 86, passed away June 18, 2018 at his home with his wife, Judy by his side. Harley was born in Bangor March 15, 1932, the son of Harlen and Arlene Bryant. He graduated in Bangor and resided in Hampden with his wife Judy and two daughters, Susan and Cindy. Harley and Judy recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Harley worked at Nisson Bakery for many years and retired from there. He enjoyed working on anything that had a motor and repaired many toys and eventually vehicles for his grandchildren. Harley will always be remembered by his whistling all the time whether working or just taking a ride, he would whistle. He has a grandson, Joel Hatt that picked up his trait, so that we will always be reminded of Dad. He was given the nickname “Bumpa” many years ago by the grandchildren and he will always be remembered as Bumpa. Harley was an avid hunter and proud to be a member of The Biggest Buck in Maine. He built for himself “with a little help from his friends” a motorcycle trike. Harley will be greatly missed, loved, and remembered by his family and friends.
