BANGOR and BROWNVILLE – Gary Robert Bryant, 60, passed away unexpectedly June 22, 2018, at his home in Bangor. Gary was born May 21, 1958, in Milo, to Robert and Dodie (Russell) Bryant. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2016 after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with Tom and Debbie, where he also fished and played golf with his friend Paul Lagrange. Gary also enjoyed playing pool, cards and golfing with his Maine friends John and Karen Phillips, Ken Carr, Frank Rapp and Ken Jay.

Gary is survived by his father, Robert Bryant, of Brownville; his three children, Matthew and Melissa Bryant, Nicholas Bryant, and Emily Bryant and boyfriend Matthew Rowe, all of Bangor; two sisters, Debra and Thomas Kotredes, of Bangor, and Deanna and Kenneth Greenlaw, of Milo; nieces and nephews, Jessica and Mark Yusikones, Levon Russell, Luke and Lisa Kotredes, Robert and Sagarika Kotredes and Logan Greenlaw; one granddaughter, Mira; grandnieces and grandnephews, Nolan, Kyle, Thomas, Erin, Timir and Tarali; a special aunt Evelyn and Rick Lam; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Dodie Bryant, in 2011.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Those who wish to remember Gary in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME, 04074.
