CAROL LYNN (KELSEY) BOLDUC
BREWER - Carol Bolduc, 53, passed away July 12, 2018, surrounded by family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born August 20, 1964, in Bangor, the seventh of eight children born to Eugene and Sarah “Betty” Kelsey.
Carol graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1983. She worked for Maine Medical Center until her cancer diagnosis in 2012 when it became necessary for her to retire early. She met the love of her life, Ed Bolduc, in 1995 and they were married from May 17, 2008 until his death in 2015. As per their wishes, she and Ed will rest together for eternity.
Carol had a larger than life personality and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Hobbies included bingo, playing slots, scrapbooking, and playing cards with her sisters. She especially enjoyed winning at cards and would often express glee upon winning a game. She had a soft spot for cats and was especially fond of her most recent feline friends, Mr. Bigs, Maria, and Polly.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Ed Bolduc, and sister, Karen Dunn, who passed away June 23rd of this year. She is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Marie and Jerry Hancock, Sylvia and Stevie Oxley, Beverly and James Twitchell, Carl and Tracy Kelsey, Paula and Tim Burkholder, and Tracy and John Ronan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her husband’s siblings with whom she shared a close relationship. Carol had a special relationship with her niece, Taylor Ronan.
The family would like to thank the staff of VNA Home Health Hospice for its compassionate care of Carol and her family in the past several months and especially in the last few days of her life. Special thanks to Charissa, Jen, Katie and Karen for their support and care. The family would also like to thank the staff of Woodlands Assisted Living Facility for their care and support of Carol. Special thanks to Jordan, Cindy, and Cameron.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. The family invites everyone to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St. following the service. Interment for both Carol and Ed will be in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor following the reception.
