Obituary for Tamara Marie Boulier (Walls)

Tamara Marie Boulier (Walls)
BANGOR – Tamara M. Boulier, 51, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on July 15, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 20, 1966, in Bangor, the daughter of Robert C. and Marie A. (Gallison) Walls.

Tamara graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1985, and the University of Maine with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Tamara also served her country proudly in the Maine Air National Guard from 1987 – 1994. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark Boulier in 1991. Tamara had many passions, aquatics being one of them. She swam competitively both in High School and College. She took that love of swimming and worked many years at the Bangor YWCA where she combined her love for teaching, swimming, and working and coaching with kids and adults as the Assistant Aquatics Director. She continued her passion of teaching and nurturing children as she owned and operated Tamara’s Childcare for 18 years. Tamara developed special bonds and relationships over that time with many families. It was truly her passion to have an impact on early childhood education. Tamara’s most valued passion though in life was family and being a Mother. Through family time at home, vacation, at camp, or cheering on her girls on the soccer sideline, these are the special moments that she cherished the most in life. She was known for her bright smile, witty humor, positive spirit, infectious laugh, and love for life.

Tamara was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Thaxter and Alice Gallison and paternal grandparents Luther and Gladys Walls; maternal aunt and uncle, Harry and Betty Swanson and paternal aunt Carol Young; cousins, Christopher Swanson and Wendy Holmes; mother-in-law, Mary Joan Boulier and brother-in-law Raymond Boulier. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Mark Boulier, of Bangor; children, Erin (Boulier) Adams and her Husband, Chad, of Hampden, Allison Boulier and significant other Oscar Degnan, of Bangor; sisters, Laurie Friedman and her Husband, Doug, of Kents Hill and Amy Corkum and her Husband, Steven, Of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia; father-in-law, Joseph Boulier, of Bangor; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved black lab Grace.
