BANGOR - Edward A. Shorey Jr., 98, died September 25, 2018, at Bangor nursing facility. He was born on September 11, 1920, in Howland, son of Edward A. and Mildred (Edgecomb) Shorey.

He attended Bangor schools. Then, he went in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth; a brother, Gardiner; and two sisters, Natalie and Ada. Survived by a sister, Joan; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
