Gerald "Jerry" Trask
Gerald “Jerry” Trask, 68, passed away September 22, 2018 at his beloved home on Green Lake with his loving and devoted family at his side. He was born October 19, 1949, the son of Paul and Betty Trask in Old Town, ME.
Jerry lived his 68 years working hard and living life to its fullest. He was a member of Ironworkers Local Union #496, retiring as Business Agent in 2001. He leaves behind the love of his life, Becky, his wife of 42 years; his daughters Heather and Sarah, whom he so loved and cherished as well as their husbands, Ryan McPike and Christopher Duplessis, whom he was so very proud to call his own; his two granddaughters, his namesake, Jeri Rae and Aliza Clayer Duplessis, the lights of his life and his shining stars who brought him so much joy and happiness in the last years of his life; his mother, Betty, who defines the words “mother” and “love”; brother, Mike, of which they shared a deep bond and his wife Patty, who was our angel in his final hours; and their children, Rusty, Doug, Christy, Paul, and their families; loving sisters, Paula and her significant other, Larry, and Rhonda and her husband, Bucky, and their son; his friend and partner-in-crime, Bob Carney, of which they had an indescribable bond of love, laughter, and brotherhood and his dear wife, Sally. He was predeceased by his loving father, Paul “Bump”, whom he now joins for eternity. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winterport. Immediately following the service there will be a celebration of Jerry’s life at their home on the lake. Those who wish to remember Jerry in a special way may make donations in his name to Friends of Winterport Baseball, 127 Baker Road, Winterport, ME 04496.
