Daniel Neil Ronald Powell, 24, passed away peacefully October 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Houston, TX. June 7, 1994 the son of Lisa D. (Waldron) Powell and Kelly L. Powell.
Daniel graduated from Brewer High School class of 2012 then attended Eastern Maine Community College until his illness.
He loved his video games and playing them online with friends. He also loved Marvel comics and the Marvel movies. Anyone that knew him knows how much he loved Warhammer.
Daniel touched and inspired the lives of countless people. He lived life on his terms not letting cancer define him.
Surviving are his mother, Lisa of Orrington; father, Kelly of Houston, TX; brother, Denver of Boston; half- sisters, Hannah and Paige of Houston, TX.; maternal grandmother Jeanne Wheelock of Orrington; paternal grandfather, Jerry Powell and his wife Debbie; several aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt, Virginia Little and her husband Ross of Fredericton, N.B.; special friend Jeremiah Delisle and many more too numerous to name.
Daniel was predeceased by his uncle, Danny Waldron; paternal grandmother, Joan Maniag; and maternal grandfather, Edward R. Wheelock.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 4 to 7 pm. Thursday October 4, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday October 5, 2018. The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service.
A graveside committal will be held 1 pm.( Canadian time), (noon American time) Saturday October 6, 2018 at the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, N.B. Canada, followed by a reception at the CPR Train Station.
