Obituary for Jane Elizabeth Reagan

Print
Jane E. Reagan, 54, of Frankfort, was called home to the Lord October 7, 2018 after a valiant battle against cancer. She passed surrounded by friends and family. She was born January 27, 1964, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Brochu) Reagan in Needham, MA. She grew up in the Attleboro, MA area with her parents and brothers until they moved to Maine in 1978 where she attended Garland Street Middle School and graduated from Bangor High School in 1982.

After many grand adventures around the state of Maine, Jane settled in the Bangor area and began a career at Eastern Maine Medical Center in 2004 working in Transport, Materials, Dispatching, and the Pharmacy. While employed at the hospital, Jane found her passion, and attended Eastern Maine Community College where she graduated in 2007 with her Associate of Science in Medical Radiography degree. She continued to work at EMMC as a Radiological Technologist for 11 years, where she made many close friends.

Jane was a lifelong animal lover - from her work at the animal shelter in Kennebunkport, to her adoption of several German Shepherd Dogs, and beyond. She loved to hike her property and the surrounding areas in Frankfort with her dogs, Aggie and Grace, who were her constant companions. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake with her family, and with her friends relaxing in the sun, watching a game, or enjoying a live band. She was a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching games from home, though her favorite place to watch was at Fenway.

Jane was an outgoing, positive force among her “peeps”. She was a positive influence on friends, family, and strangers alike. As she approached you, she always had a smile on her face and -if it was needed - a hug to give. Her caring heart and keen mind will be missed.

Jane was predeceased by her father Paul.

She is survived by her mother Helen of Maine; brother Tim of Colorado; brother Tom and wife, Christine, of Maine; brother Bill and wife, Stephanie, of Oregon; niece Melissa and husband, Steve, of Georgia; niece Rebecca of Maine; nieces Sage and Hazel of Oregon; and great niece Margaret of Georgia. She is also survived by many close friends.

A Mass of Christian burial at St. John's Catholic Church in Bangor will be celebrated at a later date which will be shared when the date is determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jane Reagan can be made directly to Northern Light Cancer Care, c/o Northern Light Health Foundation, PO Box 931, Bangor Maine 04401
