WATERVILLE and BANGOR – Rick “Cos” Cosmos, 65, died Oct. 7, 2018 at a Waterville healthcare center. He was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Gregory and Irene (Zoidis) Cosmos.

Rick graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1971 and attended the University of Maine, Orono. He was a cook most of his life.

Rick is survived by his sisters, Debbie and Cindy Cosmos, Barb (Cosmos) O’Connell and her husband, Dick, and brother, Don Cosmos; niece, Darrian and Scott Day; nephews, Dan and Jess O’Connell, Matt and Sarah O’Connell; grandnephew, Matty and grandnieces, Lucy, Annie, and Ella; two special grandnieces, Briana and Rogan; and special friends in the “Bee” Club, Charlie Brountas, Tommy Pappas, Scottie Ames and all the other bees. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at EMMC, staff of Mount Saint Joseph in Waterville and Maine General Hospice for their care and compassion for Rick.

A memorial service will be held 12 noon, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center, 163 Center Street, Bangor, immediately following the service Saturday.
