BANGOR - On September 28, 2018, Kerry Ellen "Watermelon" Quinn, 49, passed away in peace and grace in her own room surrounded by her treasured family. Kerry was born on May 30, 1969 the youngest daughter of Mary A. (Lagassey) Quinn and the late Robert J. Quinn of Bangor.
Kerry is a proud 1990 Bangor High School graduate and would eagerly share that she was recently "retired" from her part time jobs, "you should try it". Over the past many years Kerry participated in community outings with very special friends and staff from Amicus. Kerry has been able to travel throughout the world and loved exploring new and exciting places with her Mom and siblings.
Kerry is survived by siblings, Kate Quinn Finlay of South Portland, ME, Nancy and Stephen Hosmer of Tuscon, AZ, Tom Quinn of Bangor, Kelly and Dave Brookings of Bangor, Maine, Jim and Carmen Quinn of Manchester, Maine. Kerry is cherished by many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends.
Kerry Ellen, by example, taught us daily of acceptance, goodness and touched the hearts of all who crossed her path in life. Kerry wanted everyone to feel special and would greet people with" I remember you" that always brought a smile.
Kerry's family is the most important thing in her life followed closely by her joy and love of music. Kerry counted "Selena", "Adam", "Elton" and "Celine" among "her people" and was able to attend many live concerts across the Country and especially loved Las Vegas!
Our family would like to thank the many individuals who cared for and brought comfort to our dear Kerry during her life and this last leg of her journey to heaven.
