I came to know Eileen rather late in her life--about 12 years ago through my wife (Kathy) who has known her for just about all of Kathy's life--they have been friends for over 70 years. Some years ago we visited Eileen for several days in Bangor. As the two of them were chatting I was reading a book; during most of the time we were together she and Kathy were laughing. When the two of them would talk by telephone, I could tell who my wife was talking with by the laughter--I would pause in what I was doing just to listen to the joy in the laughter. I am grateful for the joy she and Kathy shared. I am reminded that the sound our God most likes to hear is the sound of His children laughing--His children enjoying the life that He has given to each of us. I look forward to hearing that laughter again when I am come home. Dr. Timothy Anderson
