BANGOR – Jeffrey M. McKeage, 62, died unexpectedly June 11, 2019 at home. He was born March 6, 1957, in Sanford, Maine.
Jeffrey graduated with a BA from University of Southern Maine, an MA from Oklahoma State University, and completed coursework for a Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, all in History. He also completed an AAS in Information Technology from Eastern Maine Community College. He worked in education, most recently teaching History at Husson University and with the AVID program in Saint Paul Minnesota schools. He authored history of technology articles as well as fantasy role playing modules with his loving wife, Kim Keziah McKeage. He was an active participant in monthly free community dinners at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Bangor, the mobile food shelf in Saint Paul, and cooking in the Hamline Church Dining Hall at the Minnesota State Fair. He studied Tai Chi for over 15 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 33 years, Kim McKeage, are his son, Jared; brother, John McKeage, of Lisbon; niece, Dianna; and nephew, Ian.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held 6:00 PM., June 22, 2019, at the Unitarian Unversalist Society of Bangor.
