Adele E. Freitas, 90, died by natural causes May 29, 2020, at a long term medical facility. She was born to Clifton T. Brown & Hester (Snow) Brown, on June 22, 1929 in Bangor.
In 1947 she married Robert A. Chapman, until his death in 1976. Together they shared five children.
She is survived by her children and their families.
Mary (Chapman) Parks Crook and her children Lisa and Kelly (Reggie)
Randy (Terri) and their children Jillian and Emily.
Timothy (Doris) and his child Lacey.
Susan (Chapman) Dunham (Stu Kallgren). Her daughter Trisha (Robert) Higgins.
Robert A. Chapman Jr. and his children Benjamin (Jessica) and Nicholas (Danielle).
She also enjoyed 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend Betty along with many others. A special thanks to all who took time to visit.
Later married Ken Freitas in 1982 until his passing in 1996.
She enjoyed time with family and friends at her home on the lake. She loved cooking during these visits with them.
She was a long time member of the senior citizens group of Glenburn where she was a lifetime resident. She also was active in her town church and food pantry.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 2, 2020, from 6-8 pm. at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at 11 a.m. with burial at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery to follow.
Nana-Nana will be truly missed by her family and friends.
