Alberic Robichaud, Jr.

March 16, 1948 — October 16, 2022

HOLDEN – Alberic J. “Robie” Robichaud Jr., 74, passed away unexpectedly October 16, 2022, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 16, 1948, in Bangor, the son of Alberic J. and Celia A. (Seamans) Robichaud.

Robie graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, he attended Husson College, and served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1973. After fulfilling his military commitment, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree at Eastern Illinois University.

Robie was well-known for his musical talents; playing bass guitar and performing vocals for the Barracudas. He continued his passion for music, participating in several other bands throughout his life until his passing. Professionally, he was well-respected within his field of study; he was a member of the IBEW, and was a certified instructor for the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automations Society (ISA). He was the lead instructor and trainer for Chevron, training hundreds of Chevron employees for many years. As President and Lead Instructor for his own company, Process Instrumentation and Controls for Industry, his knowledge was sought by students and companies from around the globe.

Robie had a love and passion for nature, his animals, and all New England sports teams, especially “the Hick from French Lick”, Larry Bird.

Surviving, are his children, Amy LePage and her husband, Scott, of Huntersville, North Carolina, Alison Stephens, of Milton, Florida, Andrew Robichaud, and his wife, Kate, of Brewer, Maine; a special nephew, Alec Coleman Pray, of Bangor; grandchildren, Benjamin and Rebecca LePage, Chase Stephens, Maggie and Liam Robichaud; brother, Gary Robichaud and his wife, Penny; and several extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Alberic and Celia Robichaud; and his grandson, Jacob LePage.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11 a.m. -1:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A reception will immediately follow at a location to be determined. Those who wish to remember Robie in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
