Albert W. Copeland

Albert W. Copeland, 88, passed away July 25, 2019, in Goose Creek, SC. Husband of Cora L. Copeland, he was born in Brewer, ME on December 12, 1930. The son of the late Jennie H. Copeland and Carl R. Copeland.

Copie attended Orrington schools and graduated from Bangor High School in 1949. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He loved hunting camp, golfing, baseball, was a talented gardener and an excellent chair caner. Some may even remember his roadside vegetable stand. Copie’s work life and love was being a long distance truck driver. He covered many, many miles.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cora; his children, Rodney Copeland, Cathleen Hudson (Tony), Thomas Copeland (Judy) and Christopher Copeland; his grandchildren, Angela Copeland, Rebecca Chapin (Brad), Matthew Hudson (Erin), Nicole Baker (Evan) and Ryan Copeland (Ella); and his great grandchildren, Kiley, Evan and Bayleigh.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm. Monday August 12, 2019 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer where relatives and friends are invited to call 1 pm until time of service. The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Rooms there at Brookings-Smith directly following the service. Family graveside services will follow.
