ALYSSA DAWN CYR
BANGOR
Alyssa passed away unexpectedly on 10/17/2022. Alyssa was born 10/4/1998 in Bangor. She Graduated from Hermon High school where she played several sports. She participated and excelled in Chorus, Field Hockey, and Cheerleading.
Alyssa was very musically talented. She could play several instruments including the flute and piano and had the voice of an angel. She often loved singing karaoke with her family, at any time of the day. Music was a strong pillar in her life; she often used songs and lyrics to express her deepest feelings. Alyssa shined brighter than any planet in the Milky Way and had a smile so contagious a stadium of people would swoon. Family meant everything to her. She would call her family every free moment she had; sometimes not even necessarily to talk but simply exist on the phone together. Alyssa had the soul of a healer with the biggest of hearts. She would offer her love and attention to someone in need, regardless of anything. Everybody Alyssa loved was loved selflessly and deeply. She would give the shirt on her back and all her time to anyone she called friend. Her soul was free spirited and her nature was wild and unpredictable like a thunderstorm. Sometimes windy, rainy, and untamed; other times colorful and peaceful like after the rain had passed and clouds gave way to sun.
She is truly loved and missed by her family and friends always.
Alyssa is survived by her parents; her mother Leeann, and her husband, Darren Sinclair; her father Adam, and his wife, Sierra Cyr; her sisters; Emily and Abigail Cyr; her brother, Tyler and his wife, Alisha Cyr; her two step-brothers; DJ and Brady Sinclair; her grandparents; Diana and Phil “Gigi and Grampie” Cyr; her cousin and best friend, Amber Cyr; and her nieces and nephews whom she also loved and cared for very deeply; Everleigh, Matthew, Micheal and Raelynn. She is predeceased by her great grandmothers; “Nana” Kathleen O’Hara of Brewer, ME; “Great Gram” Jennie Giles, and “Grandmom” Josephine Benedetto; and her grandmother, “Nanny” – Donna O’Hara, of Newport, ME; and loved and missed by all her cousins, her aunt, Lisa Ostiguy, and her aunt, Madelyn Kubach. She will be missed by all her friends at the Grace House.
