CORINTH – Andrew J. Smith, 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 31, 2016. He was born May 7, 1965 in Bangor, son of Douglas A. and Priscilla C. (Shorette) Smith of Corinth.
Andrew graduated from Christian Schools of Springfield, MO, class of 1983. He also graduated from the University of Maine, Orono in 1988 with a B.A. in Political Science and in 1991 obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. Although he worked as an attorney and title examiner for several years, he found his greatest professional fulfilment when he became a High School teacher at Highview Christian Academy. He was also an active member of Charleston Church.
Andrew is survived by his three children whom he adored, Jackson, Camille and Amelia Smith. He is also survived by his parents, one brother, Christopher Smith of Bangor and his daughters, Shelby and Mariah; his grandmother, Ruth Smith of Bradford; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 7pm Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Charleston Church, 185 Main Road, Charleston where a funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, April 6, 2016 with the Rev. Matthew Ward, pastor, officiating. All are invited to share conversation and refreshment in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service Wednesday. Interment will be in the Williams Cemetery, Bradford.
