Anita Hall

May 22, 1931 — February 12, 2017

Anita M. Hall, 85, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2017, at a Florida hospital. She was born on May 22, 1931, in Detriot, Michigan, the daughter of John and Mary (Boccia) Maiuri.

Anita was a substitute teacher and office secretary at Herman Elementary School for many years. She was known for her annual Christmas party where all the teachers and spouses came to enjoy the holiday cheer. Anita owned and operated the Village Market with her husband in Carmel throughout her life. She liked to make baskets and while in Florida, loved to play bingo. Anita was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. There are many fond memories of bowling with her husband over the years. Anita was also an amazing cook and was known for her large portions. When she retired in 1996, her and her husband Frank wintered in Englewood, Florida.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Hall, of Florida and Hermon; children, David Hall and wife Juanita of Carmel, and Dawn Mason, of Bangor; grandchildren; Kyle Mason, Melissa Hall, and
Christopher Hall; a niece, Trudy and husband Dale Desjardins, a nephew, David Robichaud; a sister, Betty; as well as step-sisters Jean and Vera; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Lance Hall, a sister Alvera, and a brother, Johnny.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date. Those who wish to remember Anita in a special way may make gifts to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn 38105.
