VEAZIE - Anna M Suddy, 83, died peacefully at home June 18, 2019. She was born July 16, 1935 in Machias, ME; The daughter of Charles H and Ruby B (McGinnis) Sylvia.
Anna graduated from Dennysville High School, class of 1952. Following graduation, she attended Husson Business School. Subsequently she was employed by Metropolitan Life. She was a great homemaker that enjoyed caring for her family, baking phenomenal pies, and avoiding sewing at all costs. Anna was also known for her witty personality and dry sense of humor. She was very active with the Veazie Congregational Church.
She married Albert F Suddy on July 31st, 1954; they would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this year.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Alton Sylvia. Surviving in addition to her loving husband, Albert Suddy, are her three sons Brian and his wife Tina of Arizona, Jeffrey Sr and his wife Marcia of Massachusetts, Dennis and his wife Leslie of Veazie; six grandchildren, Melissa Hufford and her husband Bryan of Colorado, Dennis “Buddy” Suddy and his fiancé Carrie Murchison of Old Town, Jeffrey Suddy Jr of Massachusetts, Matthew Suddy of Massachusetts, Dylan Suddy of Veazie, Ryan Suddy and his wife Hailee of Massachusetts; one great-grandchild Braden Hufford of Colorado; one great-grandson of the heart Blake Bell; and one special cousin Mary Jane McFadden and her husband Howard of Dennysville.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to VNA Home Health Hospice Service for the excellent care they provided.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm, Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, with Pastor Dave Fox, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversations and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, immediately following the service, Sunday.
