Arlene Rowe

Arlene Marion Rowe, 96, died June 3, 2022. Arlene was born in Oakland, Maine on June 24, 1925, the first-born child of Alvin Norman and Della Abbie (Perkins) Scott. Arlene married Donald B. Rowe on April 9, 1944 in Presque Isle. She and her husband were both civilian workers at the Presque Isle Base during World War II, repairing damaged aircraft that managed to return to the states.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1995, sisters; Christine Maloney, Gloria Dodge, Shirley Rhodes, brothers; Carl Scott, and Norman Scott.

Arlene is survived by her son, Herbert D. Rowe, and his wife, Edith, daughter; Rita A. Bridges, and her husband, Harrison (Gene), all of Glenburn, grandsons; Donald L., Willis (Bill) Rowe, and Scott Bridges, granddaughter; Kelly A. (Bridges) Gardner, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings – Smith 163 Center St. Bangor, on Sunday June, 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
