CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA – Arthur Samuel Robinson, 79, entered Heaven June 11, 2021, at a Florida hospital. He was born August 11, 1941, in Hermon, Maine, the son of Dwinal A. and Wyone E. (Drew) Robinson.
Arthur attended Pentecostal Assembly, and graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1960. He was an Army Reservist and a member of the Florida National Guard. He worked for United Parcel Service and Courier Dispatch. Arthur retired to Chiefland, Florida where he taught Sunday school, volunteered for a food pantry, and served as President of his HOA. He loved to travel, fish, and spend time with neighbors on his front porch. Art will be remembered as a great storyteller, and a man that blessed others in personal ways.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Edna Robinson; children, Michael and his wife, Melissa Robinson, Bonnie (Robinson) and her husband, Robert Mutz, Dennis and his wife, Lori Knowles, Danny and his wife, Stacy Knowles, David and his wife, Jean Knowles, Debbie Knowles and Dan Short; an aunt, Marlene Farren and her husband, Bud; siblings, Linda Fickett, Leanne Foster and her husband, Greg, Phillip Robinson and his wife, Belinda; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces; and a dear friend, Phil Adams.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, Hermon. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the graveside, Friday.
