Audrey Gordon

Bangor - Audrey Gordon, 79, died peacefully at her home February 23, 2014. She was born July 28, 1934 in Kingman the daughter of Carl and Gertrude (Worster) Smith. Audrey was a member of the Hermon High School Class of 1952. She was a homemaker, waitress and house keeper until poor health forced her into retirement. Audrey was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed going out to eat, traveling, flower gardening, doing puzzles, and especially the activities and “Teas” with her many friends at Nason Park Manor and Phillips Strickland House. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to Audrey. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents Audrey was predeceased by her sister Erma Webb and infant twin sisters Carolyn and Marilyn. She is survived by two sons Jeff Gordon and his wife Sue, and Dave Gordon and his wife Gretchen; daughters Kathi Gordon, and Julie Sands and her husband Woody all of Bangor; five grandchildren Steve, Michelle, Kristi, Ingrid and Willa; seven great grandchildren; brother Don Smith and his wife Florence; sister Sarah Arnold. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the exceptional staff at Phillips Strickland House.
