Bangor – Austin Grant Chapa, 32, passed away at home from medical complications April 18, 2019. He was born August 18, 1986 at Hahn Air Base in Germany, the son of Roy Chapa and Wendy Asher.
Austin attended Bangor Schools. He had a great sense of humor, which allowed him to befriend everyone who came into his life. Austin loved life and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was kind hearted and always had a smile on his face.
Austin is survived by his mother, Wendy Asher, of Bangor; father, Roy Chapa and his wife, Jeannette, of San Antonio; siblings, Brandon and his wife, Frankee, of San Antonio, Cameron and his wife, Allison, of Hawaii, Robyn, of San Antonio, and R.C., of San Antonio; a daughter, MacKenna Chapa, of Dixmont; nieces and nephew, Hope Sennett, of Bangor, August and Ason Chapa, of San Antonio.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Austin’s life 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
