Autumn Stymiest

Autumn Jean Stymiest, 18 of Newburgh, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2024. She was born March 25, 2006 in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Ricky L. Stymiest and Melinda I. Caulkins of Newburgh.

Autumn worked as a prep cook for Dysart's Restaurant in Hermon. She attended United Technologies Center in Bangor for Culinary Arts. She was an incredibly talented artist that would spend hours filling her many scrapbooks, her dream was to become a tattoo artist.

Autumn had a huge love for animals, especially her cats, Mittens, Milo, Snowball and dog, Scout. She enjoyed going to camp to catch frogs, fish and butterflies. She especially loved going to the ocean and collecting seashells, sand dollars and sea glass and shopping at the Rock n Art and Gems and Jewelry stores any chance she could get. Autumn was very creative and spent many hours doing crafts and making costumes. Another favorite pastime was playing Minecraft with her friends.

Autumn was very caring and compassionate and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that would bring pure joy to your heart.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her grandfather, Ernest Caulkins of Winterport; grandmother, Norma Stymiest of Kenduskeag; three uncles, Scott Stymiest of Kenduskeag, Robert Stymiest of Corinth, and Corey Caulkins, of Winterport; many cousins and friends who were like siblings; and a special friend, Michael. Autumn was predeceased by her grandmother, Anna Noyes of Carmel; and Grandfather, John Stymiest of Kenduskeag.

A celebration of Autumn’s life will be held on December 14, 2024, from 12-4:00 pm at the
Hampden Snowmobile Club. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
