She was born March 9, 1936 in Hampden, daughter of Guy W. and Anna F. (Cowan) Tribou. She was a graduate of Hampden Academy, Class of 1954, where she lettered in basketball, softball, and cheering.
Barbara was a caring and compassionate person. She was employed by Eastern Transportation and MSAD 64 for 40+ years transporting elderly and students to their daily programs and appointments. Barbara was very involved in her community where she belonged to the PTO, Volunteer Fire Department, Health Officer, and Ballot Clerk. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings at “Shady Rest”. Her passion was to follow her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in all their activities, especially sports. Her love of sports extended beyond her family to their teammates.
