Bangor - Barbara Jean Crabtree, 20, died unexpectedly September 15, 2015. She was born September 24, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara is the daughter of David Briggs and Cheryl (Garland) Crabtree. She was a CNA and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant with plans to become a registered nurse. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served as young woman leaders, nursery, and chorister. At the time of her death, she was preparing for a trip to New York City with her roommate and best friend, Katie Fikes of Bangor. Barbara was kind, loving and a gentle caregiver. She loved horses, babies, and country music. Her ideal menu was pig meat, cheese, and chocolate. Barbara had a joy for life and love for her Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. She is survived by her parents, David Briggs and Cheryl (Garland) Crabtree of Argyle Township; brother, Steven Casey Crabtree of Bangor; birth sisters, Roni Vogt, of Georgia, Krisanna Vogt, of Oregon, Kristina Walters, of Washington, and Alexus Wensted, of Arizonia; birth mother, DeAnna Vogt. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 639 Grandview Ave., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the Church Cultural Hall immediately following the service. Interment will be held in the Cedarvale Cemetery, Argyle.
