On February 28, 2014, the world lost a “Ray of Sunshine”. Barbara, having survived numerous illnesses decided to give God a break, leave this life, and join his heavenly choir which she will probably run and will definitely solo. Her perpetual smile and warm nature reached inside the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her and drew the very best from within everyone. Forgetful but not forgotten, Barbara loved her family deeply and warmed the hearts of all family members with her genuine greetings and the accompanying hug and kiss. Barbara lived a full and active life, not allowing a song pass without her singing and dancing to it. Not allowing a stranger to pass without a friendly greeting. Not allowing time to pass without finding a way to make people around her smile. The English language has yet found a word to properly define Barbara's life, looking death straight in the eye on many occasions and smiling, yet surviving. Understand that as you read this obituary a conversation is taking place in heaven between Barbara and God, her telling him that it's time for people on earth to start loving and caring about each other again. Barbara had a strong faith in the Lord and was a long time and proud member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Barbara was predeceased by her mother Connie, her father Lawrence and her husband Hugh. She is survived by her sons Kevin and his wife Wendy, Michael and his wife Marilyn. Grandchildren Robert, Kevin, Katherine, Daniel, Sean, William and Erin.
In remembrance of Barbara, please share a hug with someone you love.
