BANGOR - Barbara “Bebe” Hurd, 67, passed away on August 15, 2019 following a brief illness. She was born on June 12, 1952 in Bangor, ME, the daughter of Lawrence and Charline (Sprague) Hurd.
Known as Bebe to family and friends, she graduated from Bangor High School’s Class of 1971 and went on to study secretarial science at Beal College. Bebe enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Coca Cola in Bangor. She had a passion for helping others and was known for her positive outlook, selfless attitude, kind heart, love of animals, and her ability to always find a good sale.
In addition to her parents, Bebe was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Sandra. She is survived by her brothers, Lawrence and his wife, Valencia, and Charles and his wife, Cathy; nieces, Christina Dauphinee and her husband, David, Heather Mercier and her husband, Edward; their children, Mackenzie and Mitchell; nephew, Andrew Hurd and his partner, Holly Franck; her beloved cat, Weezy; and many cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor.
