SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA - Barbara E. Sproul (née Blinn), 80, died after a brief illness May 29, 2024. She was born April 6, 1944 in Bangor, the daughter of William and Margaret (Obey) Blinn.
Barbara graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1963. She earned an associate degree in University of Maine. She worked in the Brewer School system for 20 years. She loved to paint and sew. She enjoyed RVing across the country with her husband during her retirement. She volunteered for the Legion of Mary.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles V. Sproul, and her 4 children, Tree Heckler, Vincent Sproul and his wife, Carolyn, Peter Sproul and his wife, Dianna, and Linda Marie Sproul; seven grandchildren, and her 3 siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St, Bangor on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. All are welcome to share conversation and refreshments at the Parish Hall of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, immediately following the service.
