BEATRICE "BETTY" TRASK
Winterport - Betty, our loving matriarch, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2020. She was born May 25, 1931, in Old Town, Maine. Betty was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived for her family and cherished her home. Gardening, ice fishing, scrabble, Yahtzee, bingo, and slot trips were among her many favorite hobbies. Betty was an avid Red Sox fan, and always was the biggest fan of her son's and grandchildren's sporting events. Some of her fondest memories were of the children at the Smith School, where she worked as school secretary for 17 years. Many of her favorite memories were of cuddling "her" babies at the EMMC NICU for 14 years.
Betty was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Paul in 1992, and her oldest son, Jerry in 2018. She is survived by Jerry's wife, Becky, and their daughters, Heather and Ryan McPike, and Sarah and Chris Duplessis; her son, Mike, his wife, Patty, and their children, Rusty, Doug and Brooke, Christy and Lance Smith, Paul and fiancée, Alicia; daughter, Paula and partner, Larry Bowden; daughter, Rhonda and husband, Scott “Buck” Davis , their son, Scotty and partner, Karen; and great-grandchildren, Colby and Luke Trask, Logan, Lydia, and Landon Powers; Tessa, Dylan, Hanna Dinardo, and Ella Smith; Alana, Ben, and Cameron Trask; and Jeri and Aliza Duplessis.
Services were private for the family and the burial was held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Winterport.
