Bernice A. (Wilson) Eastman, 73, passed away peacefully, May 28, 2014, in Peabody, Mass. She was born in Bangor, May 19, 1941, the daughter of Israel and Marjorie (Nutting) Wilson.
Bernice was an active member of the East Orrington Congregational Church. For many years, she was a member of the Milwee Chapter No. 198, Order of the Eastern Star in Orrington and the Daughters of the Nile, Ankh No. 160.
Bernice was loved by many, but the love she gave in return was unmatched. She showed her love for her family by crocheting and creating beautiful handmade quilts for them. She will be remembered as being an awesome mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bernice is survived by her three children, Linda MacManus, Roland Bull and Ronald Bull; her two stepdaughters, Carol Hubbard and Denise Eastman; as well as 5 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her adoring husband of 25 years, Merlyn Eastman, and her brothers.
A service to celebrate the life of Bernice will be held 10 AM, Friday, June 13, 2014 at the East Orrington Congregational Church in Orrington with Rev. Carl Schreiber officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall, following the service. Interment will be at a later date. Those who wish to remember Bernice in a special way may make gifts in her memory to East Orrington Congregational Church, 38 Johnson Mill Road, Orrington, ME 04474.
