Bernice “Bea” Gallant
Holden
Bea “Necei” Gallant, 91, passed away February 21, 2019 due to complications with pneumonia. She was born in Bangor May 10, 1927 daughter of John and Lillian Parlee.
Bea lived all of her life in Brewer and Holden. She owned and operated her own hair salon in Brewer and Holden.
Bea was a very gifted and talented woman. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, braiding rugs and painting. She had a wonderful eye for matching colors even in her flower gardens.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald, son Rodney, two sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters Donna Gallivan and her husband Dennis, of FL. and Susanne Gallant of Holden; grandchildren Erin Thomas and her husband Evan and Ryan Gallivan of FL.; great granddaughters Meghan and Kaitlin Thomas of FL.; several nieces and nephews including special nieces Kathy Thomas and Pamela Harris.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 2-4 pm. Wednesday February 27, 2019 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St. Brewer. A graveside service will be held at Clewleyville Cemetery, Levensellor Rd. Holden, at a date to be announced in the spring. Those wishing to remember Bea in a special way may contribute in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 654 State St. Bangor, ME. 04401.
