LISBON - Berrita L. Foster, 72, beloved daughter and sister, was received by her Lord and Savior September 8, 2024, at her home. She was born July 5, 1952, in Bangor, the daughter of Lt. Col. John C. PE and Fern (Dwelly) Foster.
Berrita was a lifelong resident of Brewer, graduating from Brewer High School, Class of 1971. She was a longtime employee at Mardens, in both Bangor and Brewer. Eventually, she relocated to Lisbon for the past 15 years to live with her sister, Fern Williamslibby.
Berrita was a woman of integrity with an unwavering moral compass. She was the most dependable, punctual, reliable person. She was also a generous soul. She lovingly cared for her parents as they aged. A proud "Aunt B", she loved all of her nieces and nephews unconditionally and doted on them.
Berrita took joy in a variety of things, including children, animals, various recipes, flowers, chocolate candy, daily rides in the car, dining out for lunch on a daily basis, and her weekly visits from her friend, Trudy. to name a few. She also loved her Tupperware. You could always find her doing word searches, clipping various coupons, and had a natural ability for color matching.
Fern lovingly opened her home and life to Berrita where she quickly learned the LA area and made it her own. Fern was always there, a constant companion and caregiver. A very special caregiver, Debbie Booker who Berrita loved as a sister and trusted unconditionally. Debbie gave Berrita the kind loving care of a mother, while being her closest friend, always having fun together. "Big sister" Ethel managed all Berrita's needs, both hands on and hands off, with kind loving support and they both looked forward to days together. Berrita was loved by her caregivers, Debra Booker, Cristy Bourget and Brittney Whitney, and will be missed by them dearly. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to a complete team for their kind and compassionate care in her journey with Parkinsons Disease.
Berrita will be greatly missed by her family, sisters, Ethel Dyer and her husband John, Fern Williamslibby and husband Richard (Dec.); beloved only brother, John C.
