Bertha M. Cameron, 92, died unexpectedly October 4, 2013, at her home in Franklinton, NC. She was born January 30, 1921, in Monroe, MI, the daughter of James and Matilda (Eagle) Baum. Bertha retired from EMMC after 20 years from the nursing department. She was a member of the Good Times Club of Glenburn, and the Franklinton Senior Center. Bertha enjoyed sewing, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and especially reading. She was a very caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Bertha is survived by, four sons, James J. Cameron Jr. and his wife, Pat, of Piedmont, SC, Steven K. Cameron and his wife, Sharon, of Kingsville, TX, Timothy R. Cameron and, Pat, of Hermon, and Robert M. Cameron and his wife, Joy, of Leesburg, FL; one daughter, Leontine LaFlamme and her husband, Leonard (more like a son), of Franklinton, NC; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, James J. Cameron Sr.; and her siblings. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor, with the Rev Garnett Chute, officiating.
