GLENBURN - Beth Anita Hersey, 59, died unexpectedly November 24, 2022. She was born May 9, 1963, in Bangor, The daughter of Harvard G. and Joletta A. (Andrews) Hersey.
Beth was Joletta’s youngest of six siblings, and the fourth to pass way before their time. Even with many health issues starting with childhood, with love and support by her mother and later Barbara, she endured to live and love as best she could.
Surviving Beth, are her sister, Barbara and her husband, Kevin; brother, Brian and his wife, Tammy; uncles, John and Jack; aunt, Jan; several nieces and nephews; extended family, Ellen and Libby; and a special sister, Barbara Hersey. Also grieving her loss is partner, Andy; and countless close friends, you know who you are. Beth had a special appreciation of life after enduring the tragic loss of her beloved son, Tristan. He passed in 2002, from leukemia at the age of ten. In addition to her parents, Beth suffered the devastating, abrupt losses of her siblings Bruce, Brett and Brenda.
“Peka’s” love and spirit will live on forever within all she loved. There is some comfort knowing she is now without pain and resting in peace with her son, mother, brothers and sister, and maybe a few cats also.
Family and friends appreciate and say thanks to the professionals at Northern Light EMMC ICU during her final days, along with all the exceptional doctors and staff who worked so hard to help Beth her entire life.
In keeping with Beth’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at a date and time to be announced, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Glenburn.
