Betty Robinson

HERMON - Betty L. (Norsworthy) Robinson, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior July 29, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Thorndike on December 11, 1937 to Henry and Myrtle Norsworthy. Betty graduated from Newport High in 1955 and married the love of her life, Daniel Robinson, on October 8, 1955. Together they raised four children. She loved the wonder of Christmas and having her family close. She taught us the best gift you can give someone is your time. She spent time sewing, knitting, and quilting for her loved ones, and picking out the perfect birthday card that said just the right thing. She held many clerical positions for different businesses throughout the years. Betty was a member of Hermon Baptist Church and worked at Hermon Christian School where she impacted many lives. Betty is survived by her son Philip and his wife Lawna Robinson; daughter Kathy and her husband Mark Tissue; son Steven and his wife Mona Robinson, and daughter Sheila and her husband Alfred Griffin.
She is also survived by 12 grandkids Lisa O'Grady, Alfred Griffin Jr, Scott Griffin, Aaron Tissue, Bethany Snow, Robert Tissue, Joel Robinson, Christina Bronson, Colby Robinson, Amanda Thibodeau, Kelly Robinson, Megan Robinson, and 26 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 10-11 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 US-2, Hermon, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m., with Pastor Chute, officiating. All are welcome to a reception in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
