Beverly Kenneth Overlock, 88, passed away March 11, 2019, at his son’s home in Florida. He was born September 30, 1930, in Hermon, the son of Norman and Bertha (Pomeroy) Overlock.
Beverly attended Herman schools. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Beverly worked at Eastern Fine Paper until it closed in 1968 and then went on to work for local contractors until he retired. He was a member of the American Legion #200 VFW of Bangor. Beverly was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved following the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was known locally as the “Lawnmower Man”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia (Dorr) Overlock; children, Sherri Bragg and Denise Overlock of Hermon, Clay Overlock and wife Kimberly of Ft. Meyers, FL; grandchildren, PJ and Jason Morse, Jeffrey and Melissa Overlock, Ashley and Jimmy Satterfield, and Cory Overlock; great-grandchildren, McKayla Philbrick, Destiny and Jeffrey Overlock; sisters, Geraldine Ognan, Jeannette Farrar and husband Bob, Gloria Spencer and husband Chuck; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, Leo, Charles and Perley Overlock; and three sisters, Eleanor Toth, Jennie Sylvester and Celia Beckwith.
