Blaine P. Robinson

Blaine P. Robinson, 85, passed away May 3, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born in Farmington, April 26, 1934, the son of Clyde B. and Wilma L. (Prilay) Robinson.
He graduated from Farmington High School, class of 1952 and Burdett Business College in Boston in 1956.
Blaine was employed as a Bangor Police Reserve officer for several years. In 1956, he began a job with John Sexton Company of Massachusetts as a salesman. In 1964, Blaine started a career as a state liquor enforcement officer. He was promoted in 1974 to area sergeant, a position he held for the remainder of his 31 years in that agency, until his retirement in June 1995. After retirement, Blaine was employed as a Penobscot County deputy sheriff and later as a security guard at the Federal Building in Bangor until 2005. He served a total of 48 years in law enforcement.
Blaine was a member of the International Law Enforcement Association and the MSEA. He served 8 years in the naval reserves as a Sea Bee.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Ronan Robinson of Orono; a son, Michael P. Robinson Sr. and his wife Belinda of Winter Haven, FL.; a daughter, Diana Jones and her husband, Timothy of Mesa, AZ.; grandchildren, Michael P. Robinson Jr., Sheri Moody, J.D. Fielding, Cyndi Fielding and a very special granddaughter, Brooklyn Robinson, and her mother, Angel; several great grandchildren; stepchildren, Robert Ronan and his wife Linda of Hopkinton, MA., Lynn Silk and her husband, Mark of Orono, Diane Harris and her husband, Robert of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., John Ronan and his wife Tracy of Holden; step grandchildren, David, Blaine, Michael, Katelynn, Evan, Katherine, Taylor and Bryan; and two step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a step grandson, Brandon Silk.
At his request a private graveside service will be held for the family.
