Bangor - The family of Bobby Joseph Hazelton are saddened to announce his passing on April 4, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Bobby was born January 26, 1950 in Old Town, the oldest of eight children to Caroline “Louise” Theriault.
Bobby grew up in the Bangor area and other surrounding towns. He served his country in the U.S. Army and completed two tours during the Vietnam War. He was awarded three Purple Hearts during his service. Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR and playing poker. He had a marvelous sense of humor and was loved by many.
Bobby is survived by the love of his life, Sharon (Hosmer) Hazelton with whom he spent 40 wonderful years, 35 as husband and wife. He is also survived by his 3 children; Julie Ream and her husband, Jayme; Cathy Caron and her husband, Dan; Charles Bard, Jr. and his wife, Sherry. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Hannah Bard, Aaron Stone, Cade Seavey, Shelby Theriault and her husband, Tony, Taylor Stone, Lucas Seavey and his wife, Xandra, Charlotte Caron, Lily Ream, Paige Bard, Joseph Bard and his beloved great-grandson and namesake, Bobby Seavey. He is also survived by his sisters: Barbara Nadeau and her husband, Gary; Ruth Ann Merritt and her husband, Alvin and his brothers: Billy; David and his wife, Dotti; Alphonso; and Michael and his wife, Teresa.
He was predeceased by his mother and his brother, Danny. He will be missed by his half-sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews and the entire Hosmer Family.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where a Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
