Bobby Porter

Bobby Dale Porter, 63, passed away unexpectedly with his companion by his side at his home in Ogunquit on February 11, 2023. He was born on May 20, 1959, in Bangor the son of Reginald M. Porter Jr. and Helen G. (Sawyer) Porter.

Bobby loved his dogs. He touched many hearts over his lifetime and many people enjoyed his humor and loved having fun. Bobby enjoyed grilling and cooking and gatherings with family and friends. He was the fireworks master at Kite Camp where there are many fun memories. He could be found annually BEHIND THE BARN and enjoyed his smokes while attending Grateful Dead and Phish concerts. Bobby loved horses and harness racing in addition to hunting, fishing, golfing and Bingo with family and friends.

He is survived by his soul mate of many years Bonnie Menard of Sanford; his siblings, Wayne Porter of Greenbush, Regina Mosley and husband, Randy of Ellsworth, Rose Porter of West Enfield, ME, Teresa Marciano and husband, Frank of Greenbush, Francis Porter and wife Julie of Enfield, CT; and will be dearly missed by his siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Porter; his father, Reginald Porter, Jr. and a special aunt, Rita Brown.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 1 – 5 PM, at the Hampden VFW, 41 Canoe Club Road, Hampden. Interment will be announced in the spring at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Etna. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
