BANGOR – Brenda Lee (Beaulieu) Lyons, died May 29, 2016 after an extended illness at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 16, 1942 in Millinocket, daughter of Arnold H. and Este L. (Pasanen) Beaulieu.
Brenda worked various jobs including CNA at an Assisted Living Home, Hallmark and a number of other places where she was blessed to make lifelong friendships. She volunteered at the Attic and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Brenda was gifted and enjoyed many hobbies including ceramics, sewing, needlepoint, paint
ing and was a master at knitting, making several pieces for each member of her family and beyond. Brenda always gave the biggest hugs and greeted everyone with a beautiful smile. She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be fondly remembered for the endless love she had for her family. Her faith and belief in God were practiced in her daily living. With strength and courage she conquered each challenge she faced, especially with the passing of her daughter, Jill and the renewed faith she found afterwards.
Surviving are her children, Christopher W. Lee, Jeffrey T. MacDonald and his wife, Theresa, Aaron S, MacDonald and his wife, Mary-Ellen, Robert J. MacDonald, Jr. and his wife, Meghan and Michaela E. DiGianvittorio and her husband, Michael; son-in-law, Alan Purton; grandchildren, Carissa P. Geisser, Jessica L. Purton, Ashley M. Lee, Hannah M. MacDonald, Kirsten H. MacDonald, Alec S. MacDonald, Aiden R. MacDonald, Sullivan MacDonald, Seamus F. MacDonald and Colin M. DiGianvittorio; great-grandchildren, Macey E. Eubank, Emma L. Eubank, Brody M. Eubank and Cash K. Lee, brothers and sisters, Arnold H. Beaulieu, Jr. and his wife, Cecile, Bette G. MacLeod and her husband, Carl, Paula J. Jacobs and her husband, Dean, Nancy M. Beaulieu, Teresa A. Emerson and her husband, Rob; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her daughter, Jill E. Purton.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6 to 8pm Friday, June 3, 2016 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A Funeral Mass will be held 11am Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor followed by the Rite of Committal at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments at Brenda’s home following the services Saturday.
