Hermon and Searsport - Brookie May Pacholski, 27, died unexpectedly on December 9, 2019 in New Jersey. She was born November 22, 1992, in Cheverly, Maryland, the daughter of Brandon F. Sheldon and Jennifer M. Pacholski.
Brookie grew up in Searsport and Hermon with her grandparents, Coco and Norman Pacholski Sr.
She attended All Saints Catholic School, graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 2011, where she was on the track and wrestling team. Brookie then continued her education at the University of Maine, Orono.
Brookie had many hobbies throughout her life which included spending six years studying dance at the Thomas School of Dance, attending Kishintaikan Dojo for eleven years learning Karate, but she especially loved attending UMO Hockey games for over 15 years with her Papa. Brookie also enjoyed tending to all animals and was particularly fond of goats earning her the nickname, “Goat Girl.”
Brookie was a gifted artist using a variety of forms including pencil, pastel, water color, and make-up.
Her art was used throughout her life as a means of self-expression. Although she designed many pieces of art, she referred to her beautiful baby daughter Diana as her life’s greatest creation.
She was predeceased by her father, paternal grandfather, maternal grandfather, Norman Pacholski Sr., and two uncles, Herb and Ray.
Brookie is survived by her daughter, Diana; her mother, Jennifer; maternal grandmother, Coco; paternal grandmother, Sharyn; siblings, Forrest, Skylor, Oceana, and Brandon; aunts, Dawn, Courtney, Melody, Bonnie, and Leona; uncles, Norman Jr., and his wife Jess, and Phil; nieces, Jazzlynn and River; cousins, Max and Alainie, Isaiah, Taylor, Madeline, Samantha, Kyle, Myles, and Mo. Brookie had a large extended family whom she created memories with.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Brookie’s life will be held from 4-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
