Carlene P. Smith
Carlene P. (Lord) Smith, passed away December 4, 2024. She was born in Milo, December 25, 1936 the daughter of Guy E. and Bertha B. (Townsend) Lord. She was a graduate of Carmel High School Class of 1955. Carlene served in the US Army from 1955 to 1956. She married Roland E. Smith, Sr. September 27, 1958.
She was a charter member of both Bangor Baptist Church and Twin City Baptist Church.
Carlene was predeceased by her husband, Roland, grandson, Bradford Rice, Jr. and sister, Annie.
Surviving are her children, Roland E. Smith, Jr., Bertha Rice and husband, Bradford, Sr. and Parker Smith; grandchildren, Danielle Littlefield, Carlene Rice, Estelle and James Smith; great grandchildren, Lillian and Annabelle Littlefield; a brother, Lester Lord, Sr. and wife, Jeannette; many nieces and nephews; her best friend, Chloe Libby.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Relatives and friends are invited to call 10 am until time of service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
