Carole (Clendenning) Hardin, 85 passed away March 22, 2019. She was born in Bangor, July 11, 1933 the daughter of Donald G. and Anna E. (Moran) Clendenning.
Carole was a graduate of Brewer High School. She worked for the town of Orrington for 35 years, retiring in 2002 as town clerk.
Carole was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Orrington for many years where she held many positions including a member of the choir. She was a 50 year member of Vashi Rebekah Lodge #35, a member of the Orrington Jaycee Wives and with her husband an active member of the Korean War Veterans and troop greeters.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Fred and her son Eugene in 2014 and a brother Gary Clendenning.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Martin and her husband Bud, Barbara Keezer and her husband Paul all of Bangor; a daughter-in-law, Judi Hardin of Brewer; nine grandchildren, Jaime, Molly, Kami, Mallori, Andrew, Ashley, Brady, Kash and Jade; nine great grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Grace, Aaron, Avery, Conner, Carter, Kenzy and Killian; three sisters, Dawna Gray, Nancy Lorette and her husband Percy, Bonnie Schuschereba and her husband George; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sylvia Ross Home and Ross Manor for their kindness and care of Carole.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm. Saturday April 6, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church 14 Center Dr., Orrington, with the Rev. Ron Chaffee pastor officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall immediately following the service.
