September 30, 1936 — October 24, 2019

MILFORD & WATERVILLE – Carolyn Joyce (Cunningham) Ouellette, 83, died peacefully on October 24, 2019 at a Waterville healthcare facility. She was born on September 30, 1936 in Milford, the daughter of Vernon A. and Ruth E. (Clark) Cunningham, Jr.
Carolyn graduated from Old Town High School in 1953. Following graduation she became a homemaker and mother. Carolyn possessed a zest for life and an incredible sense of humor. Even in the face of adversity and failing health she would find joy, laughter and fulfillment in the company of others. She loved to dance, sing, the Christmas season, and the Boston Red Sox. She found her greatest joy and happiness when surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. We will miss her laughter, gentle touch and the ever present twinkle in her eyes.
The family wishes to express their thanks and deep gratitude to the staff of the Mtn. Top Unit of Mt. St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation facility and Maine General Hospice for the compassionate care provided Carolyn over the past two years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, David Cunningham. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Lynne Spooner and her husband, Peter of Lowell, Denise Deshane and her husband, Tim of Milford, and Cynthia Hardy and her husband, Louis of Veazie; grandchildren, Shawn Deshane, Lauren Rudnicki, Jason Deshane, Jameson Hardy, Chelsea Walsh, Kate Spooner, and Emma Hardy; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas and Maggie Rudnicki, and Rory Hardy; sister, Constance (Cunningham) Locke of Palm Springs, CA; brother, Vernon A. “Larlee” Cunningham, III of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews.
