CASTINE – Our beautiful mother, Carolyn M. Punzelt, drew her last breath on May 14, 2023, Mother’s Day. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, to Frank and Mildred Marcroft on March 16, 1932.
Carolyn grew up determined, accomplished, and multi-talented. A proud Navy wife and loving mother, she will be remembered for her joie de vivre, her keen sense of design, her courage and strength in the face of adversity and her vodka martinis on the rocks with a twist. She was married to the love of her life, Capt. David L. Punzelt, U.S. Navy, for 58 years. She was devoted to her faith, the Episcopal Church, P.E.O., gardening, golf, and most especially, to her adoring family and many friends.
