Catherine Warren

Catherine (McCurdy) Warren, 91, died August 23, 2014. She was born July 8, 1923 in Lubec the daughter of Arthur R. and Evelyn (Creath) McCurdy. Catherine graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Portland, in 1940 and attended St. Joseph College, Portland in 1941. She graduated from the University of Maine, Orono with a B.A. in history and government in 1944. Catherine was employed at Bowdoin College in 1946, RJ Peacocks Canning Co., and BH Wilson Fisheries in Eastport. She is survived by four sisters, Margaret Cook of Cape Elizabeth, Marion Ross of Falmouth, Carolyn Ray of Falmouth, and Irene Bryant and her husband David of Hampden; one brother John P. McCurdy of Lebec; many special nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by her husband James L. Warren; sister Elizabeth Mae McCurdy; brother Eugene McCurdy.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Wednesday August 27, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, 207 York St. Bangor. Private interment will be held in the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
